Responsibilities
- Design and implement tiered architecture to organize systems into functional layers.
- Provision specialized infrastructure to avoid resource contention.
- Distribute components for optimal load handling and database operations.
- Implement multi-region/global setups for reduced latency and improved disaster recovery.
- Develop horizontal scaling solutions and load balancing mechanisms.
- Integrate caching mechanisms to enhance system responsiveness.
- Ensure redundancy, failover, and high availability for critical operations.
- Monitor and manage distributed systems with advanced tools.
- Embed security and compliance considerations into architectural designs.
- Assess risks related to technology obsolescence and promote sustainability.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience or understanding of tiered architecture and infrastructure design.
- Knowledge of load balancing, caching, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with security protocols, such as token-based authentication and data partitioning/sharding.
- A certification in cloud architecture or DevOps (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and functions.
