As an IS Demand Manager in Shanghai, you will be the primary point of contact for new requests, coordinating the entire demand process from intake to solution analysis. You will manage communication between business stakeholders and IS teams, ensuring solutions align with architecture guidelines and maintaining process documentation. This hybrid role also involves supporting bid teams, driving digital transformation, and managing IT-related escalations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for new requests, gathering initial information.
- Coordinate the full demand process, ensuring Business Analysts prepare required input and updates are made in ADO.
- Follow up on decisions made in demand meetings.
- Manage communication between business stakeholders and IS teams.
- Ensure proposed solutions are properly analyzed and aligned with architecture guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date demand process documentation.
- Support users in applying correct procedures and ADO functionalities.
- Represent the organization in cross-BA demand management forums.
- Ensure proper prioritization and governance of all incoming demands.
- Operate across a portfolio of engagements to ensure successful transition to proposed digital solutions.
- Support bid teams while putting together the offer.
- Drive digital transformation of engagements.
- Manage high-level IT-related escalations.
- Ensure proper Change control mechanism is embedded in commercial agreements.
- Ensure delivery of solutioned functionality on time and at or below budgeted cost, with minimal disruption.
- Drive technology-led competitiveness and value realization project portfolio for engagements.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of IS/IT Demand Management processes, including demand intake, qualification, portfolio allocation, and prioritization.
- Ability to work with O365, ADO and similar enterprise tools, ensuring accurate data entry, updates, and demand lifecycle tracking.
- Experience collaborating with IS Managers, Global IS Managers, Service Managers, PMO Leads, Architects, and cross-functional business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills for feasibility assessment, value realization estimation, and solution evaluation.
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, ensuring alignment between RA IS, Architecture, D&A, and Business teams.
- Ability to manage escalations and coordinate decisions across governance forums and Demand Review Boards.
- Solid knowledge of change-control mechanisms, project proposal structuring, and compliance with governance standards.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate process documentation, ensure yearly refreshes, and support continuous improvement.
- Experience working with budget considerations, approvals, and coordination with finance or controlling when needed.
- Proven ability to operate across multiple engagements, drive digital transformation activities, and support delivery of solutioned functionality.
