Volvo Cars is seeking a senior HIL automation engineer to develop and maintain test automation scripts for electric vehicle power electronics. This role involves working with CI/CD toolchains and HIL test environments to ensure continuous integration and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test automation scripts for component HIL testing.
  • Keep test scripts up to date and fully functional for manual and automated test flows.
  • Enable manual and fully automated test flow in the continuous integration tool chain.
  • Maintain CI/CD toolchain and SW integration and qualification testing.
  • Manage inventory, specification, and maintenance of HIL test environments.
  • Oversee releases from Power Electronics SW.
  • Troubleshoot SW and HW issues on HIL to maintain 24/7 operation.

Requirements

  • Senior background in test automation, test infrastructure, and test setup.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in component HIL test automation.
  • Experience with HIL systems such as dSPACE, Vector, INCA, or similar.
  • Documented programming experience in Python.
  • Experience with configuration management, version control, and test management tools.
  • Experience with tools for handling calibration and scripting for automating testing towards the Continuous Integration chain.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Controls Theory, Signals & Systems, Data, or Mechatronics.

  • Experience with domain HIL, SIL, or VIL is an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing test inventory, test objects, and HIL environments.
  • Experience in handling test objects and HILs for planning, commissioning, prioritization, and stability.
  • Driving license.
