As the Hardware Team Lead in Aarhus, you will provide technical and people leadership for a team of Hardware Engineers. You will be responsible for the electrical design of processing equipment, driving engineering standards, and ensuring compliance. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical machine design and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and people leadership for a team of up to 4 Hardware Engineers and Specialists.
- Oversee electrical design of processing equipment, including electrical cabinets, motor control systems, instrumentation, power distribution, and machine interfaces.
- Act as the technical authority within Hardware Engineering, driving engineering standards, design quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct electrical design and documentation using EPLAN.
- Perform electrical architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Ensure Functional Safety, machine safety, and EMC-compliant electrical design.
- Manage compliance with UL508A, CE, EMC, and Machinery Regulation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
- Coordinate with software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Support resource planning and competence development.
- Support and govern external panel-building suppliers.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent within Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience with industrial electrical design and machine automation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design of industrial machinery and control panels.
- Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 and electrical documentation standards.
- Knowledge of UL508A and North American electrical requirements.
- Familiarity with IEC standards related to machinery and industrial automation.
- Understanding of Machinery Regulation, CE compliance, EMC requirements, and risk assessments.
- Expertise in Functional Safety and safety-related control systems.
- Knowledge of EMC principles, mitigation techniques, grounding, shielding, and industrial installation practices.
- Experience with motor control systems, drives, instrumentation, and industrial power distribution.
- Experience collaborating with panel builders, suppliers, production, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Fluency in English is required.
