Google Cloud is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer in Bengaluru, India, to work on FrontRow Database Observability. The role involves designing, implementing, and launching features for large-scale web applications, with a focus on database tooling and cloud databases.

Responsibilities

  • Influence beyond your immediate project, identify, recommend, and execute improvements to our shared codebase.
  • Take risks and try new things that the team hasn't done before.
  • Design, implement, launch, and land features with high product excellence, high technical quality, and at high velocity.
  • Develop large scale, user-facing applications.
  • Have an opinion about how to improve the user experience.
  • Work with your UX, Product Manager (PM), and Backend Software Engineer (BE SWE) partners to influence the direction of the product and the platform.
  • Share your knowledge with your teammates to increase our collective effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Javacsript.
  • Experience leading software projects and developing large-scale web applications.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working collaboratively with various partner teams such as UX designers, UX researchers, Product Managers and other Engineering teams.
  • Experience working on Database tooling like Observability tools, Database IDEs, etc.
  • Experience using different Cloud Databases, both Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL and can reason about the tradeoffs between them.
