Responsibilities
- Influence beyond your immediate project, identify, recommend, and execute improvements to our shared codebase.
- Take risks and try new things that the team hasn't done before.
- Design, implement, launch, and land features with high product excellence, high technical quality, and at high velocity.
- Develop large scale, user-facing applications.
- Have an opinion about how to improve the user experience.
- Work with your UX, Product Manager (PM), and Backend Software Engineer (BE SWE) partners to influence the direction of the product and the platform.
- Share your knowledge with your teammates to increase our collective effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Javacsript.
- Experience leading software projects and developing large-scale web applications.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working collaboratively with various partner teams such as UX designers, UX researchers, Product Managers and other Engineering teams.
- Experience working on Database tooling like Observability tools, Database IDEs, etc.
- Experience using different Cloud Databases, both Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and NoSQL and can reason about the tradeoffs between them.
