As a Food Service & Dishwashing Associate, you will prepare menu items, assist customers with inquiries, process sales, and maintain a clean environment. This part-time role requires availability on weekends and evenings, with a focus on operational excellence and adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept and standards.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, process sales transactions accurately, and adhere to cash handling policies.
  • Maintain equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, and conduct preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure a clean supply of dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and trays.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
  • Manage the Swedish Food Market, overseeing merchandising, pricing, and stock rotation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely price communication across all food solutions.
  • Maintain supply rotation and stocking, adhering to FIFO and expiration dates.
  • Implement IKEA Food policies and procedures for goods receiving and monthly inventory.
  • Adhere to safe food handling, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment embracing IKEA culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment (as required by local jurisdiction).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred.
