Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is looking for a Financial Analyst to support its global payroll operations. The role involves financial reporting, P&L analysis, financial modeling, and working with cross-functional teams to support Amazon's global business. Requires a CA qualification and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects and support design and implementation of payment methods, new products and offerings.
  • Provide project management updates to transition new processes and permanent solutions.
  • Coordinate with global accounting teams to establish and maintain strong communication channels.
  • Identify, implement, and adhere to best practices across all new project launches.
  • Offer and receive coaching, support, and guidance to the team.
  • Perform financial reporting and support monthly P&L analysis and financial forecasts.
  • Develop and report on Finance Business Integration (FBI) team performance metrics.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UATs) in close coordination with business and accounting teams.
  • Assist in measuring and reporting progress on key business goals in a timely manner.
  • Provide inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews, facilitating reviews with data analysis and follow-up.
  • Perform long and short-term financial planning.
  • Conduct ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling, presenting recommendations to senior management.
  • Apply understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance controls.
  • Actively participate in strategic initiatives and special projects.

Requirements

  • Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  • Experience in oral and written communication in English.
  • Experience in project management (resource planning, managing schedules, reporting status, prioritizing tasks).
  • Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis.
  • Qualified CA with First attempt.

  • Knowledge of COGNOS or Oracle.
  • Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment.
