Volvo Group India is seeking a Power BI Developer for their ExcelHER returnship program in Bangalore. This 9-month assignment focuses on designing, developing, and deploying data visualizations and reports to provide business insights, supporting finance and administration functions. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI visualizations and reports.
  • Interrogate data sets and provide business insights.
  • Participate in the project life cycle from business requirement analysis to production deployment.
  • Continuously learn and develop competence in new fields.
  • Ensure adherence to standards and procedures during development.
  • Work with the internal team to ensure the best functioning front-end experience.
  • Independently manage tasks and responsibilities.
  • Communicate insights generated from complex analysis clearly and concisely.

Requirements

  • Developer experience in developing reports/dashboards on Microsoft Power BI.
  • Extensive experience in writing DAX formulae.
  • Experience in data formatting on Power BI desktop.
  • Ability to define a data model, data flows, create and customize visualizations, hierarchies, and drill-down.
  • Ability to create and deploy reports/dashboards on Power BI service portal.
  • Ability to conduct complex analysis and communicate insights.
  • Advanced Excel experience in Data Visualization, Power Pivots, Power Query, Excel VBA – Macro.
  • Medium to strong MS SQL querying and programming skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-4 years of data & analytics and reporting experience (Microsoft background preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in development and design of PowerBI, PowerApps applications.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Power BI License model.
  • Hands-on ETL experience in Alteryx/SSIS.
  • Exposure to Agile methodology projects & use of JIRA tool.
  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering graduate degree or equivalent with a good academic record.
