Synopsys is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data and analytics solutions within their modern data ecosystem. This role involves working across the full analytics lifecycle, utilizing technologies like Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI to deliver insights and support business decisions.

Responsibilities

Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution designs, and deliver high-quality data products.
Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data solutions across ingestion, transformation, modeling, and reporting layers.
Develop and support scalable data pipelines using Fivetran, Snowflake, and dbt.
Build and optimize semantic models within Power BI to enable trusted and performant reporting.
Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, visualizations, and DAX measures that translate business requirements into actionable insights.
Ensure data quality, consistency, scalability, and performance across data and analytics solutions.
Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and business teams to support best practices in data architecture and data management.
Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines, warehouse performance, semantic models, and reporting solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering, Data Architecture, or related fields.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Power BI, and SQL (expert-level proficiency).
Strong experience with dimensional modeling, semantic modeling, data modeling best practices, and data warehouse concepts and architecture.
Additional experience designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions from source ingestion through dashboard delivery.
Building Power BI semantic models and developing DAX measures.
Creating reports, dashboards, and visual analytics solutions.
Working with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
