Responsibilities

  • Management and leadership of DCEO Engineering Team.
  • Responsible for the overall operation and maintenance (routine and emergency) of critical infrastructure supporting IT operations of Data Centers.
  • Has primary responsibility for availability zone of Data Centers.
  • Managing and developing teams of shift engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise.
  • Liaising with internal teams & management groups to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and efficiency.
  • Participates in strategic planning projects, including design, build, and bringing online new Data Centers.
  • Negotiates and rolls out contracts and space.
  • Assisting & managing relationships with vendors & contractors.
  • Constantly improving all processes and procedures, establishing performance benchmarks, conducting analyses, and preparing reports.
  • Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of Data Centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes.
  • Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management and reporting.
  • Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are met.
  • Participates in recruiting efforts and performance management of the existing team.
  • Conducts financial analysis and contributes to financial decisions.
  • Procurement for DCEO related expenditure.
  • Ensuring adherence to and exceeding local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centers.
  • Responsible for asset and inventory management.
  • Assist in the design and build out of new facilities & multiple projects to increase current facility efficiency.
  • Oversee the build out of Facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of people management and team development experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering work managing large-scale services experience.
  • Experience in people management and team development.

  • Experience maintaining SLAs through the implementation of proactive issue detection and reporting.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports experience.
  • 5+ years of work in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation experience.
  • Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units.
  • Experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.
  • Experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation.
