Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Interior Design, ensuring consistent IKEA identity.

  • Provide strategic direction for market-specific design concepts across physical, digital, and omnichannel experiences.
  • Establish performance measures and governance processes to evaluate design effectiveness.
  • Lead collaboration with stores and business partners to deliver innovative design solutions.
  • Serve as a key contributor to HF&RD leadership objectives.
  • Build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across various departments.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, creativity, and customer focus.
  • Influence and shape the long-term vision for interior design.

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in Interior Design, Retail Design, Visual Merchandising, or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, and influencing teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in retail environments, preferably in home furnishing or home décor.
  • Demonstrated expertise in retail design, consumer behavior, and creating customer-centric experiences.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and measure business performance.
  • Strong project management skills with experience driving design initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Ability to combine creative vision with commercial understanding.

Desired Qualifications

  • Hybrid role requiring attendance at the Burlington Service Office for a minimum of 3 days per week.
