Responsibilities
- Partner with the Production Manager to deliver safe, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing operations.
- Train, coach, and develop team members in quality, safety, CNC machining, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in daily production and planning meetings to ensure manufacturing schedules are achieved.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering teams to optimize machine capability and identify root causes of process issues.
- Analyze production processes and performance metrics related to quality, cost, delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using 5S, TPM, OEE, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Lead and support a production team of approximately 10 to 30 employees.
- Serve as the shift leader when assigned, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.
Requirements
- Experience leading manufacturing operations within a machining environment using CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and developing production teams.
- Working knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems such as ERP, MRP, or MES platforms.
- Flexibility to support shift-based operations and additional working hours when business needs require.
- Commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and operational excellence.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent education in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of CNC programming software and machining technologies.
- Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance practices.
- Experience in highly regulated or precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects with measurable business impact.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
