Responsibilities
- Perform image quality tuning and optimization for Qualcomm camera platforms.
- Analyze and improve image processing performance across various imaging scenarios.
- Evaluate and optimize ISP features such as denoise, sharpening, local tone mapping, Bayer processing, HDR, and multi-frame processing.
- Validate image quality using objective KPIs and subjective visual assessments.
- Collaborate with algorithm, ISP, system, software, and sensor teams to resolve image quality issues.
- Support camera feature evaluation, verification, and deployment for flagship mobile products.
- Drive root-cause analysis and debugging of camera pipeline issues.
- Contribute to the development and validation of new camera features and image processing technologies.
- Participate in customer engagements and provide technical support for image quality topics.
- Contribute to the development of next-generation AI-powered tuning and analysis tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Imaging Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of industry experience in camera, ISP, image processing, computational photography, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of image signal processing, image quality evaluation, and camera system fundamentals.
- Experience with camera IQ tuning, including one or more of: Noise reduction, Detail enhancement, Local tone mapping, HDR processing, Bayer processing, Color processing, Multi-frame imaging.
- Programming experience in Python.
- Programming experience in C/C++.

- Experience with Qualcomm camera ISP architecture and IQ tuning.
- Experience in camera algorithm development or camera system optimization.
- Experience with camera simulation, validation, and performance analysis tools.
- Experience developing automation frameworks, tuning tools, or image quality analysis tools.
- Experience utilizing AI tools to improve engineering workflows and product development efficiency.
- Master/Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Imaging Science, or related discipline.
