In short

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist in Faridabad, India, to support ABB's Motion business. You will be responsible for market analysis, pipeline monitoring, and driving profitable growth through tailored proposals and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research on various segments in India.
  • Spot white spaces for expansion and handle vendor list activities.
  • Map large projects and coordinate with sales teams for lead conversion.
  • Participate in Marcom activities and industry events.
  • Build player maps for end-users and nurture client relationships.
  • Develop tailored proposals and present solutions.
  • Monitor end-to-end offer preparation to order closure for targeted cases.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, product, and finance for strategy execution.
  • Provide feedback on product gaps and features.
  • Share mentoring duties with subordinates and sales teams.
  • Monitor trends and competitors, represent at conferences and trade shows.

Requirements

  • Full-time engineers in Electrical or Mechanical field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in high power motors background or electrical capital goods industry.
  • Basic awareness of consultants and EPCs.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience in PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • Open to travel extensively.

  • Supports the collaboration between Marketing and Sales teams, functions, global product groups, regions, factories, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
