This role involves analyzing business decisions, troubleshooting issues, and effectively communicating findings across different teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, expertise in data wrangling, SQL, data visualization tools like QuickSight/Tableau/PowerBI, and scripting languages such as Python/JavaScript.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business decisions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Communicate findings effectively across different teams.
  • Raise the technical bar of the globally distributed analytics team.
  • Provide data wrangling expertise and a deep understanding of data fundamentals.
  • Work with and synthesize very large datasets using AWS and other data platforms.
  • Automate manual data processes, including data quality and validation.
  • Create reports using reporting tools like Quicksight or Tableau.
  • Translate ambiguous work-streams into tangible requirements and success metrics.
  • Build metrics and metrics decks.
  • Earn trust among diverse stakeholders with differing roles, responsibilities, and geographical locations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • 5+ years of Excel experience (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Ability to communicate (written and spoken) in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
