Responsibilities
- Prepare components for wet spray painting, including cleaning, masking, and surface preparation.
- Apply wet paint coatings using spray equipment in line with technical specifications and work instructions.
- Carry out touch-up painting and rework as required to meet quality standards.
- Inspect painted components for finish quality, coverage, and defects.
- Maintain painting equipment and work areas in line with safety and environmental procedures.
- Comply fully with all Health & Safety, environmental (including COSHH), and Sandvik quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a wet spray painter or in an industrial paintshop environment.
- Knowledge of surface preparation and wet paint application techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and specifications accurately.
- High awareness of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience painting components for heavy equipment or manufacturing applications.
- Familiarity with industrial paint systems and spray booth operations.
- Understanding of paint defects and corrective actions.
- Experience working within Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
- Forklift or overhead crane certification.
