Responsibilities

  • Support core warehouse operations, including unloading and loading, receiving, storage, picking and packing, and dispatch.
  • Work with both automated systems (ASRS) and traditional methods.
  • Handle a wide range of parts for multiple Volvo Group brands.
  • Safely unload and check inbound deliveries against documentation.
  • Quality-check and store products accurately.
  • Manage incoming returns and process them correctly.
  • Release orders from the system and prepare them for picking by warehouse area.
  • Manage stock moves, extractions, and complex/high-density/speciality storage.
  • Operate mechanical handling equipment safely and report any defects or hazards.
  • Participate in team meetings, employee review processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Use IT and data to investigate inventory issues and maintain stock accuracy.

Requirements

  • Safety-conscious and takes ownership of workplace safety.
  • Proven ability to meet operational targets and deadlines under pressure.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Valid UK driving licence.

Desired Qualifications

  • Forklift licences (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, High-Level Order Picker, or similar) with safe operating experience (desirable).
  • Experience with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and automated warehouse environments (desirable).
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners, accurately recording and retrieving data (desirable).
