Qualcomm is looking for a visionary VP, Engineering – Data Center Software to lead the software, firmware, platform enablement, and system architecture for their server-class SoCs. This executive will drive the end-to-end software roadmap, manage a global engineering organization, and ensure best practices for predictable delivery and platform stability in hyperscale and enterprise data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall software architecture, development, integration, and execution for Qualcomm’s Data Center platforms.
  • Own the end-to-end software roadmap for scalable data center systems.
  • Drive software strategy and execution across CPUs, networking fabrics, storage integration, system management, and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Partner closely with silicon, hardware systems, product management, and other teams.
  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing global software engineering organization.
  • Establish engineering best practices, operating mechanisms, quality gates, and release discipline.
  • Serve as a senior technical engagement point for strategic customers, hyperscalers, and ecosystem partners.
  • Operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • Fifteen (15) or more years of software engineering, systems software, infrastructure software, or data center platform development experience.
  • Six (6) or more years of leadership experience managing software engineering teams, technical leaders, and complex cross-functional execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field of study.

Desired Qualifications

  • Twenty (20) or more years of software engineering, systems software, infrastructure software, or data center platform development experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years of leadership experience managing software engineering teams, technical leaders, and complex cross-functional execution.
  • Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field of study.
  • Demonstrated competencies in Strategic Execution.
  • Demonstrated competencies in Coaching & Development.
  • Demonstrated competencies in Impactful Innovation.
  • Demonstrated competencies in Clear Communication.
