The VP, Business Unit Leader for Industrial Doors will oversee all operational aspects, including manufacturing, supply chain, and quality, to enhance product cost, quality, and delivery. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated operations strategy for low cost, high quality products with industry-leading flexibility, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead manufacturing operations strategic planning, ensuring alignment with company goals and budgets.
  • Develop competitive manufacturing systems focused on customer requirements and efficient production processes.
  • Direct and coordinate the manufacture of Industrial Door products consistent with engineering specifications and quality objectives.
  • Maintain product quality levels and oversee facility maintenance, security, and safety.
  • Direct purchasing procedures for materials, equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Coordinate and direct major projects like facility expansions, capital equipment installation, and plant layout changes.
  • Promote innovative ideas and business processes to drive growth of Industrial Door products and brands.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve business unit processes.
  • Establish performance objectives and financial targets to improve gross margin, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, quality, and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on sales and operations planning to understand supply/demand and optimize capacity utilization.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in Finance, HR, IT, and Sales and Marketing to ensure superior performance and revenue growth.
  • Directly supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related Technical discipline.
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing operations and/or supply chain environment.
  • Several years in a senior management role with significant business and operational impact.
  • Proven track record of streamlining or improving company operations and delivering results.
  • Demonstrated success in leading a $100M+ product/business unit operation.
  • Demonstrated success in growing Revenue & EBIT.
  • Prior experience leading multiple teams with multi-location/site responsibility preferred.
  • Industrial Doors experience a plus.

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Full P&L experience is highly preferred.
