We are seeking a motivated V2X Customer Engineer to act as a technical advisor to automotive clients, supporting the adoption of Qualcomm V2X solutions. This role involves customer-facing activities, software development, system engineering, and troubleshooting to ensure successful product evaluation, integration, and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical interface between customers and Qualcomm engineering teams.
  • Support customers throughout the product lifecycle, from evaluation and design through validation and production.
  • Lead technical discussions, design reviews, architecture assessments, and integration activities.
  • Understand customer applications, requirements, and deployment scenarios, and provide expert technical guidance.
  • Support customer field trials, interoperability events, demonstrations, and production programs.
  • Design and develop software tools and applications that enhance customer adoption of Qualcomm V2X technologies.
  • Develop and maintain demo applications, proof-of-concepts, and engineering prototypes.
  • Implement customer-specific adaptations, reference implementations, and integration examples.
  • Create automation solutions for testing, validation, diagnostics, data collection, and performance analysis.
  • Contribute code, bug fixes, and feature enhancements to internal software projects when required.
  • Reproduce, analyze, and resolve complex system-level issues spanning software, hardware, RF, networking, security, and standards compliance.
  • Drive root-cause investigations in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Analyze logs, traces, packet captures, and field-test results.
  • Develop workarounds, reference solutions, and validation methods for customer issues.
  • Provide technical training, workshops, and hands-on enablement activities.
  • Support interoperability testing with ecosystem partners.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate requirements and market insights to Product Management and Engineering.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, application notes, training materials, and best practices.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience in embedded software development and debugging.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, or similar languages.
  • Experience working with embedded Linux environments.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across hardware and software domains.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with C-V2X, NR-V2X, ITS-G5, DSRC, LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, or related wireless technologies.
  • Familiarity with automotive systems and development processes.
  • Experience with RF testing and wireless performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, PKI, and secure communications.
  • Experience as a Customer Engineer, Application Engineer, FAE, System Engineer, or Technical Lead.
