Microsoft is looking for a Technical Program Management IC4 to join their Azure Data engineering team. This role involves providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for top Microsoft Fabric customers, acting as a Subject Matter Expert, and collaborating with engineering teams to drive issue resolution and product improvements. The position is hybrid, with one day per week in-office, and is based in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Engage and provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for top Microsoft Fabric customers.
- Assist customers and internal teams in resolving complex issues related to the implementation, configuration, optimization, and adoption of Microsoft Fabric workloads.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least two Microsoft Fabric workloads.
- Stay current with the latest platform capabilities, AI-powered innovations, features, and industry best practices.
- Investigate and diagnose escalated issues by analyzing logs, telemetry, errors, and system behavior.
- Leverage modern diagnostic and AI-assisted tools to accelerate root cause identification and resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Product Group (PG), Customer Advisory Teams, Engineering, and Support organizations.
- Drive rapid issue resolution, improve customer experience, and influence product quality across the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
- Partner with PG to identify and prioritize bug fixes, feature enhancements, performance optimizations, and customer-driven feedback.
- Shape the future direction of Microsoft Fabric and its AI-enabled capabilities.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, scalable troubleshooting practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Actively contribute to customer and community education by participating in technical forums, developing self-help documentation, publishing best practices, and creating quick “How-To” videos and technical guidance.
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership, customer obsession, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- Deep knowledge in at least two Fabric workloads and troubleshooting experience.
Benefits
- Typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $114,400 - CAD $203,900 per year.
