This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of General Ledger accounting, including recurring journal entries, adjusting entries, and detailed account analysis. The specialist will also assist with financial statement footnotes and manage account reconciliations, requiring strong accounting principles knowledge and familiarity with ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of General Ledger accounting.
- Create system of recurring journal entries.
- Calculate and enter all adjusting journal entries.
- Provide detailed analysis of accounts to auditors.
- Review feeds to the GL from the Inventory module.
- Assist in writing footnotes to financial statements.
- Handle Accounts Reconciliations.
- Follow up with stakeholders for Open items resolution.
- Oversee Month End & Year End Close Activities.
- Timely Closure Of Bs Open Items.
- Ensure Accuracy And Completeness Of Financial Statements And Management Reports.
- Work Closely With Ar/Ap.
- Support Internal & External Audit.
Requirements
- Proficient in Accounting Principles and Practices, particularly in Month-End Closing and Reporting.
- Strong understanding of Journal Entries, Financial Statements, and Account Reconciliation Processes.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills, with a Service-Oriented Mindset for Stakeholder Engagement.
- Familiarity with Accounting Software and ERP Systems used in Financial Reporting and Analysis.
Desired Qualifications
- B.Com/M.Com/Bba/Mba is required.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA are optional but valuable.
