Responsibilities
- Work with operation and maintenance teams for surface metal mining projects.
- Operate and maintain hydraulic Surface Drills (Top hammer & DTH drills) from OEMs like Sandvik and Epiroc.
- Perform general servicing and major overhauling of drills and major components.
- Ensure effective maintenance practices for optimal machine performance and availability.
- Drive and conduct performance tests of Drill Equipment.
- Lead a team of service engineers.
- Collaborate with customer site teams to achieve high productivity.
- Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance tasks, including parts forecasting.
- Provide excellent customer service and manage stakeholders.
- Contribute to business revenue growth by achieving targets and KPIs.
- Monitor and manage costs to ensure profitability.
- Apply people management skills, soft skills, and computer knowledge for reports and data analysis.
- Conduct technical training for internal team members and customers.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Surface Mining.
- Experience working with hydraulic Surface Drill – Top hammer & DTH drills (Sandvik, Epiroc & similar OEM).
- In-depth knowledge of general servicing and major overhauling of drills/major components.
- Proficient in effective maintenance practices to ensure machine performance and availability.
- Ability to drive and conduct performance tests of Drill Equipment.
- Experience leading a team of service engineers.
- Excellent Customer Service and Stakeholder Management skills.
- People management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools and data analysis.
- Understanding and communication of Sandvik Safety & Environment Policy’s, Systems and Programs.
- Implementation of Systems of work encompassing Personnel Safety and Environmental diligence.
- Compliance with relevant legal EHS legislation.
- Implementation of site specific EHS plan and achievement of site EHS KPIs.
- Management of all site resources for an optimum balance between customer satisfaction and financial objectives.
- Ensuring timely and appropriate training and development for site employees.
- B.E/Diploma with 8+ years of experience.
