Atlas Copco is seeking an SHE Engineer for their Wuxi facility to support and improve the Safety, Health, and Environment management system. This role involves conducting compliance analysis, environmental monitoring, managing waste, and delivering SHE training.
Responsibilities
- Support the establishment and continuous improvement of the SHE management system (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Safety Production Standardization, Dual Prevention Mechanism).
- Conduct compliance gap analysis based on SHE regulations and monitor legal/regulatory updates.
- Support SHE assessment activities for new/construction projects.
- Conduct annual environmental monitoring and inspect environmental protection equipment.
- Liaise with safety, environmental protection, and fire safety regulatory authorities.
- Support management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Execute environmental, health, and safety emergency plans and organize emergency drills.
- Deliver new orientation SHE training and organize topic-specific SHE training programs.
- Lead or assist in incident investigation and follow-up actions.
- Organize the promotion of SHE programs (risk assessment, Loto, confined-space operations, chemical safety, walking safety).
- Manage contractor safety in public areas and optimize dangerous work processes.
- Conduct regular inspections for SHE risks and track hazard rectification.
- Manage annual declaration of occupational health hazards, monitoring, and medical check-ups.
- Manage clinic operations and medicine for the campus.
- Implement various SHE activities, including Safety Day.
- Collaborate with Facilities and Operations teams for energy data collection, sustainability reports, and carbon emission reduction opportunities.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
- Familiarity with SHE laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with SHE systems such as ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001, and safety production standardization.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Environment, Safety, Chemical, or related field.
- Fluent English skills (written and oral).
- Certified safety engineer qualification is preferred.
