As a remote Service Technician in Dallas, TX, you will perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors and related systems, ensuring high-quality customer service. This role requires 1-2 years of technical experience, customer focus, and the ability to travel within your assigned territory, with paid training provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
- Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
- Absorb advanced learning including VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
- Pressure wash and clean customer equipment pad, including skids, coolers, concrete, and tanks.
- Communicate with customers and Service Manager about services performed and present repair options.
- Completely fill out all service-related documentation, including service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return documents.
- Attend training at Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
- Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment.
- Provide a high level of customer service and respond to customer needs.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians.
- Travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of technical experience in the mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
- Experience with the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of industrial equipment (electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks within assigned deadlines.
- Customer-focused with ownership of meeting customer needs.
- Ability to use computers for work orders, ordering parts, and training.
- Ability to supply all basic required tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in industrial environments with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
- Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Fluent in English.
- Reside within reasonable commute (30 minutes to 1 hour) of the assigned territory.
- Must be able to park a company-issued service vehicle at residence without restrictions.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC is a plus.
- Certifications are a plus (EPA Certified).
