Senior Systems Analyst
The Systems Analyst, Senior job manages business intelligence projects and processes to ensure that data is analyzed and reported in a way to inform organization's business and product decision making process. Working independently with limited supervision, this job applies business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives. This job also coaches and reviews the work of lower level team members.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Supports the development and implementation of business intelligence programs and policies to develop data driven insights that support business operations.
• Creates data mining architectures, models and protocols, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets.
• Blends historical data from available industry reports, public information, field reports or purchased sources as input to analysis.
• Identifies and analyzes industry and geographic trends and competitor market strategies and monitors current and potential customer trends to help organization develop products and services and expand business.
• Researches and applies knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories and techniques to inform business decisions.
• Works with other areas of the business, such as marketing, logistics, and customer service, to provide business intelligence insights and model the outcome of implementing potential business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT and Business partners to research, design, develop, and troubleshoot end to end technical solutions.
• Leverage in depth knowledge of GoldenSource, PostgreSQL/Oracle, UNIX,  AWS components  develop, test and deploy strategic technical solutions in accordance with business needs.
• Accountable for providing estimates and logical work plan to deliver applications on time and within budget that meets or exceeds quality standards.
• Interpret written business requirements, functional requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Perform complex defect verification, debugging, testing and support. Support the systems by investigating, analyzing and documenting reported defects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates that meet SDLC standards.
• Supporting  with day-to-day production problems and maintenance when the system is in production.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience implementing the GoldenSource 8.x platform for Security Master/Entity Master/Product Master
• Solid understanding of capital markets and securities  business
• Experience in  design, implementing and supporting the GoldenSource product in a financial institution.
• Experience in using GoldenSource workbench tools like Configure Orchestrator, Tracing Orchestrator, Mapping Designer, Installation Center. Workstation Developer etc. to create and test various GoldenSource Components
• Ability to create/Modify  various GoldenSource components i.e., data mapping modules,  GSO, UI screen, SQLX extract queries, business entities, publishing, workflows etc.
• Experience with integrating GoldenSource with various market data vendor feeds such as Bloomberg, S&P, Moody’s, Fitch, ICE, FACTSET etc.
• Strong PostgreSQL, Oracle/Snowflake, PL/SQL Skills
• Sound knowledge of JSON, and XML to JSON transformation.
• Experience with CI/CD framework
• Experience with Amazon AWS cloud
• Experience on developing and supporting GoldenSource on Amazon AWS is preferred.

This job is considered a subject matter expert in the applications development and support area.

• Interprets written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop advanced technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Collaborates with information technology (IT) and business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end-to-end technical solutions.
• Performs complex coding to written technical specifications.
• Tests the resulting coding components in accordance with company standards and as defined in approved testing plans.
• Investigates, analyzes and documents reported defects while raising issues as appropriate.
• Analyzes run time profiles to debug errors that may exist and performs maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
• Solves complex defects that arise through own work or the work of others.
• Manages large application development and software processes, along with guiding and mentoring lower level professionals.
