As a Retail Sales Planning keyholder at IKEA, you will be responsible for optimizing the shopping experience and maximizing retail sales. This role involves providing interior design guidance, selling specialized home furnishing solutions, and creating customer relationships. You will also oversee day-to-day operations and ensure a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on layout, color, style, and accessories for residential and business customers.
  • Sell specialized home furnishing solutions like kitchens, baths, and storage systems.
  • Create relationships with customers to identify needs and provide support.
  • Apply measurement techniques and understanding of planning, design, and construction.
  • Drive repeat visitation by ensuring the sales team is customer-centric.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and/or closing duties.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment, managing escalated customer issues and emergencies.
  • Partner with Safety & Security to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure implementation of working routines and competence development.
  • Perform goods flow and customer handout operations efficiently.

Requirements

  • Previous retail selling experience.
  • Experience in a consultative sales environment.
  • Experience leading change initiatives and building new programs in a retail space.
  • Basic measurement techniques.
  • Understanding of planning, design, and construction.
  • Knowledge of the IKEA product range, local markets, and customer needs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in designing kitchens and baths preferred.
