As a Projects Engineer (Mid Senior) in the Penang R&D Sustaining Group, you will lead medium-to-large cross-functional projects through their entire lifecycle. This hybrid role requires managing project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, scope, cost, timelines, and resources while ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead medium-to-large cross-functional projects through the full project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and action-item tracking.
- Manage project scope, cost, timelines, and resource requirements to achieve project objectives.
- Facilitate project planning, decision-making, and problem-solving across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Services, and other stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks while balancing schedule, cost, quality, and feature requirements.
- Drive alignment among cross-functional stakeholders and escalate issues appropriately when needed.
- Build strong partnerships across functions to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide clear and timely project communications to project teams, sponsors, and leadership.
- Evaluate trade-offs and make recommendations to support business objectives and project success.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote project management best practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable product development processes, tools, and governance requirements.
Requirements
- Experience leading medium-to-large cross-functional projects.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and action-item tracking.
- Ability to manage project scope, cost, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Experience facilitating project planning, decision-making, and problem-solving.
- Skill in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
- Ability to drive alignment among cross-functional stakeholders and escalate issues.
- Strong partnership-building skills across functions.
- Excellent communication skills for project teams, sponsors, and leadership.
- Ability to evaluate trade-offs and make recommendations.
