Responsibilities

  • Own and define the end-to-end modem firmware architecture for LGA modem modules.
  • Lead modem software stack integration, customization, and long-term upgrade strategy.
  • Define architectural guidelines for baseband platform, RF, power management, and system interfaces.
  • Drive cross-team technical alignment across firmware, hardware, RF, and platform teams.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact with modem chipset and hardware partners.
  • Review and guide complex design decisions, trade-offs, and performance optimizations.
  • Debug and resolve critical system-level issues across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
  • Influence modem roadmap decisions, technology choices, and future platform evolution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in embedded systems architecture.
  • 3+ years in modem or wireless domains.
  • Hands-on experience with modem chipset platforms.
  • Deep understanding of modem subsystem architecture, including ARM cores, DSP, and hardware accelerators.
  • Expert knowledge of modem software stacks and integration models.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for large-scale, real-time embedded systems.
  • Experience with system-level debugging using JTAG, trace tools, and lab instrumentation.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, reviews, and cross-team design alignment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience across multiple modem generations and carrier deployments (preferred).
  • Linux kernel or embedded driver development experience (preferred).
  • Solid fundamentals in wireless and RF concepts (preferred).
  • Experience in mentorship or technical leadership (preferred).
  • Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
