Mechanical Engineer 1

Mission:

This is a great opportunity if you want to work in an entrepreneurial environment. As a mechanical design engineer, you are expected to make the customized designs for the Scheugenpflug equipment. Provide drawing support for the design and definition of non-standard custom equipment. Manage and optimise product BOM. keep the drawings and BOMs up to date. Perform other design/engineering duties as required.

Key responsibilities:

• Receive engineering requirement from Sales or Proposal teams, understand technical specifications and propose engineering solutions on customer needs.
• Design new parts by issuing 3D models, 2D drawings and technical documents. Special attention must be paid on the accuracy and standardization.
• Being owner of the product, in charge of any modification and improvement of the product.
• Understand and improve the material codification rules, create master data for new item numbers in the SAP.
• Build and maintain the product BOM and routing for local manufactured products.
• Support quality and purchase department to improve our mechanical part quality.
• Support production line for trouble shooting to improve the assembly quality.
• Communication with product company in Germany to conduct technical transfer.
• Contribute to the development of engineering and product know how of the company.
• Create and maintain the company’s technical database and manage the technical documentation with a good archive method.
• Other ad-hoc task to be assigned by the manager.
