Emerson is seeking a Manual/CNC Machinist for their Pasadena, TX facility. The role involves fabricating and repairing control valve parts to OEM specifications using manual and CNC lathes and mills. This position offers a competitive hourly rate with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate Fisher OEM control valve parts using manual and CNC machining techniques.
  • Repair field parts to OEM specifications.
  • Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material to meet print dimensions.
  • Cross-train on various machines including engine lathes, manual drills, bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.
  • Interpret GD&T per part drawings.
  • Potential for field assignments and travel using in-line machine.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Mechanical related Associates degree or 7+ years of machining and fabricating experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle machining experience (programming, setup, operation).
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks modeling.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Desired Qualifications

  • Welding knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in the process control industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
