Autoliv is looking for a Manager of Program Managers at their Auburn Hills Technical Center to lead a team of program analysts and project managers. This role involves ensuring project success, meeting financial targets, and supporting customer and manufacturing needs in automotive safety systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of program analysts, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Grow, coach, and develop project managers to foster a proactive project management mindset.
  • Ensure department meets internal and external deliverables according to program timing schedules.
  • Drive team to meet or exceed Project Financial Targets and promote a strong financial awareness culture.
  • Communicate with internal and external groups to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and track the annual department budget.
  • Understand customer vehicle development systems and ensure staff is trained.
  • Support manufacturing with information and on-site presence for manufacturability and performance.
  • Support customers for on-site meetings to ensure satisfaction.
  • Interface with Customer Management to resolve issues not resolved at the program level.
  • Champion Project Management Policy Deployment topics.
  • Ensure company interests are maintained in all activities.
  • Exhibit boundaryless behavior for securing new business and ensuring launch excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or similar applicable area.
  • 5+ years of Manager of Project Management leadership experience with a strong track record in product development and launch skills.
  • 10 years of automotive PM Management experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
  • Responsive and customer-focused with demonstrated professional judgment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Results-oriented with ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and decisions timely.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications

  • Restraints experience is considered a plus.
  • Japan OEM experience (Honda, Subaru, Toyota, Nissan).
  • Previous hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with ability to provide Plant and Customer support.
