As a Maintenance Technician in Broken Arrow, OK, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of facilities and equipment. This role involves hands-on maintenance across various disciplines including electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and machining, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair down equipment using diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
  • Apply maintenance, inspection, repair, and minor construction methods for buildings and utilities.
  • Resolve incoming problems by communicating with Team Leader or Manager.
  • Utilize Lock-Out Tag-Out processes for a safe working environment.
  • Notify management of safety risks or required repairs.
  • Understand and prioritize work plans for timely and high-quality completion.
  • Safely use a variety of hand, power, and specialty tools.
  • Locate mechanical problems by observation, listening, and using precision instruments.
  • Remove and examine defective parts for wear or damage.
  • Adjust functional parts and control instruments.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.
  • Conserve maintenance resources through efficient use of equipment and supplies.
  • Assist contractors as needed.
  • Mentor Maintenance Technician I.
  • Keep the workplace organized during and after tasks.
  • Perform welding and fabrication as necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Perform general electrical work and assess power loads.
  • Repair and maintain CNC controllers.
  • Perform weld repairs to exceed original specifications.
  • Contribute to performance improvement through education and process improvement activities.
  • Follow directions and seek clarification when needed.
  • Teach entry Technicians and assist with tasks.
  • Cross-train in other areas to enhance versatility.
  • Help train new employees.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Basic math skills including ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
  • Ability to exert up to 75 lbs of force occasionally; 50 lbs of force frequently.
  • Ability to stand or walk for 100% of the workday.
  • Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
  • Mobility & Posture: Standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and balancing on varied surfaces.
  • Manual Dexterity: Reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects using upper body strength.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers for precision tasks.
  • Communication: Clear verbal expressions and active listening.
  • Sensory Abilities: Adequate hearing.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
  • Ability to work near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions (weather, loud noise, fumes, dust, odors, poor ventilation).

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting preferred.
  • Electrical or mechanical technician experience or education preferred.
  • Forklift and scissor lift operation experience preferred.
  • Overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Overtime and minimal local travel (<10%) will be required.
