As a Lead Accountant, Record-To-Report at Electrolux Group in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, you will drive high-quality, compliant, and efficient RTR processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting according to IFRS and group policies. This role involves business partnering, audit coordination, tax accounting, and leading continuous improvement initiatives within a global finance shared services environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all accounting and reporting activities comply with Electrolux Global Finance Policies, Process Standards, and IFRS.
- Support end-to-end accounting processes for assigned countries or Commercial Areas.
- Prepare and review Balance Sheet and P&L analyses, including anomaly reporting.
- Review group reporting submissions, commentary, and timely delivery.
- Post and review complex journal entries such as impairments, accruals, provisions, payroll-related accounting, incentives, and holiday pay.
- Manage technical accounting topics including lease accounting and revenue recognition.
- Review complex balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits for processes within GFSS scope.
- Support tax accounting activities (VAT/GST, local taxes, deferred taxes, provisions, reconciliations, postings).
- Drive improvements to methodologies, tools, and processes at team and department level.
- Identify efficiency, automation, and quality improvement opportunities across GFSS.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Record-To-Report (RTR).
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and IFRS.
- Experience in accounting operations, financial analysis, and team leadership.
- Solid understanding of internal controls, process management, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in English is required.
Desired Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, or local equivalent accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Experience in a multinational and/or Shared Services environment is beneficial.
- SAP and SAP S/4HANA experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
