Responsibilities
- Review Request for Quote (RFQ) to customer requirements and suitability of Emerson product offerings.
- Prepare technical & commercial quotation/response to Impact Partners, and internal and external customers.
- Act as a liaison between Impact Partners and factories for non-standard products and special applications.
- Assist pricing and purchasing teams with list and purchase price information.
- Apply knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards to customer specifications.
- Assist Impact Partners to navigate Emerson resources for accurate answers.
- Respond to customer requests for expedited emergency shipment of parts and service kits, documentation, and drawings.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of RFQ and maintain ownership until submittal documents are forwarded.
- Document customer complaints and refer to Quality Assurance.
- Assist other departments in resolving issues related to customer sales and service.
- Communicate with internal and external customers on items requiring guidance, intervention, and technical support.
- Continual development and growth of Isolation Valve product knowledge.
- Collaborate with global teams, including working outside of standard U.S. business hours when needed.
- Perform additional tasks as required by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Engineering or STEM degree
- 5 years of related engineering or valve experience in lieu of a degree
- Previous work experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- A background with valves and actuation experience is highly desirable
- Exposure or prior experience with Oracle or using customer relationship management (CRM) and ERP system is a plus
- Proven ability to collaborate, influence and execute across matrixed teams
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Self-starter with customer service and cross functional skills
