Pioneering company seeks an International Service Engineer in Shanghai for full-time, on-site work. Responsibilities include executing marine services, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of WWF and AL equipment. Requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute marine related services and tasks assigned from IMS
- Sail with ships to conduct trouble shooting or supervise/advise contractors for correct installation of WWF system
- Maintenance and troubleshooting on WWF Systems and other AL equipment
- Carry out retrofit or re-commissioning upon both existing and new systems
- Preparation of job, install inspection, fine-tuning the system, calibration of the components, test alarm functions, verify compliance of job
- Training of SE onboard in relation of WWF
- Performance audit or Compliance service
- Communicate with the Ship’s crew, superintendent, class survey and yard
- Report and send progress reports to IMS relevant colleagues on regular basis, and to customer side if required
- Timely submission of required paperwork after site job finish
- Assisting other WWF departments with various jobs upon request
Requirements
- Good hands-on electrical and mechanical technical skills is mandatory
- Capable of effective communication with customers
- Fluent in both written and oral English (CET-4 or above)
- Service minded and customer oriented
- Independent and situational
- Willing to travel frequently
- Target oriented, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Behavior and compliance follow up AL business principle and policy
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Marine Engineer, on board or on a yard, or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and skills about BU WWF related product, such as ballast water treatment system, high speed separator is preferred
- Offshore or Marine Engineering education background is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of commissioning experience for comparable installations is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Alfa Laval related product working experience is preferred
