ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking an Installation Technician in Etobicoke, Ontario to perform installations of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors. This role requires mechanical aptitude, basic electrical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers recommended installation procedures and specifications.
  • Document time spent and job details, including any discrepancies, shortages, or inefficiencies.
  • Maintain proper truck stock and inventory.
  • Maintain company vehicle appearance and adhere to maintenance agreements.
  • Interface with customers, end-users, and general contractors courteously and professionally.
  • Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner to prevent accidents.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification as required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware is preferred.
  • Access control systems knowledge is a plus.
