We are seeking experienced Level 3 qualified HGV Technicians for a new VMU workshop in Maidstone, Kent. This full-time, on-site role offers a 40-hour week with rotating Saturday work and competitive pay. Responsibilities include efficient service, diagnostics, repair specifications, and time recording, requiring knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT manual.
Responsibilities
- Ensure work is carried out efficiently and follows Service Process Maps.
- Be fully briefed on job requirements and budgets.
- Provide diagnostic outcomes and accurately specify repair solutions.
- Comply with time recording procedures, including correct use of codes.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an HGV Technician in the Commercial vehicle industry.
- Good knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT testers manual.
- Understanding of Standard Times application.
- City and Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Commercial Vehicle Technology HGV / LCV.
- Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner.
- Ability to modify approach in specific circumstances for positive outcomes.
- Ability to understand, analyse technical issues, and propose appropriate solutions.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
