Saab's Group Digitalisation is seeking a Future Business Lead in Solna, Sweden, to drive the company's digital strategy and shape new business models, leveraging AI and software across its product portfolio. This role involves leading transformation activities, collaborating with business units and customers, and influencing stakeholders to accelerate adoption of new, software-enabled business models.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and support transformation activities to accelerate Saab’s journey towards becoming software-defined.
  • Test and evolve new business models with selected Business Units.
  • Support Group Functions in shaping their journeys to enable adoption of new business models at scale.
  • Interface with Saab’s customers for co-creating and implementing new business models.
  • Lead a senior cross-Saab team at the group level to evolve the business model and share learnings.
  • Shape and oversee transformation activities in Group Functions (e.g., Sales, Finance, Legal) to accelerate and scale adoption of new business models.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 4 years driving digital transformation including business model transformation, either within a digitally mature industrial company or as a consultant.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evolving business models (e.g., subscription-based models, SaaS and PaaS models).
  • Strong ability to architect and align transformation roadmaps with the overarching company strategy.
  • Skilled in workshop facilitation and managing cross-functional teams towards common objectives.
  • Adept at identifying capability gaps, prioritisation logic, and transformation governance models.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to engage confidently across leadership, engineering, product, and commercial teams.
  • Skill in building and maintaining alignment across dispersed stakeholders, managing complexity without losing clarity or momentum.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and skilled at leading through influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Must pass a security vetting.

Desired Qualifications

  • Industry experience in engineered products and/or the defense sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly in settings involving executive-level steering groups.
  • Structured, systems-oriented mindset with a pragmatic approach to prioritisation.
