As an Engineering Analyst Manager for Ads Fraud and Integrity at Google, you will lead a team in identifying and combating adversarial actors. You will leverage data science and AI expertise to develop scaled solutions and architect defense-in-depth strategies to protect users and the Google Ads ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor a high-performing team of Engineering Analysts, fostering AI transformation, operational excellence and strategic execution against adversarial fraud.
- Partner with PM, Engineering, and Legal to build Defense in Depth strategies that enhance user safety and fortify the Google Ads ecosystem against emerging threats.
- Lead the development of AI-driven enforcement capabilities, to proactively combat abuse at scale.
- Establish robust evaluation frameworks for the AI era, pioneering rigorous measurement methodologies and overseeing programs to train next-generation AI agents/ML Models for fraud detection.
- Lead investigations into complex TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) to perform actor tracking and disrupt organized fraud rings targeting Google Ads.
- Partner closely with sales leadership to architect and implement streamlined recovery experiences for advertisers impacted by policy enforcement, balancing user harm with advertiser experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience developing technical strategy and executing data-driven solutions, including building and managing multi-tiered policy enforcement systems.
- 3 years of experience in people management, including mentoring analytical and technical teams (e.g., data scientists, engineering analysts) in applied AI.
- Experience translating data analyses and emerging abuse trends into business strategies for non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
- English proficiency is a requirement.
Desired Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in technical strategy and execute data-driven solutions at scale, including building and managing complex, multi-tiered policy enforcement systems.
- Understanding of machine learning lifecycles, human-in-the-loop workflows, precision/recall metrics, and model drift, with the ability to confidently evaluate vendor technical architectures and scale AI-driven defenses.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues clearly to stakeholders at different levels and to influence decision-making across roles.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
