We are seeking a Dy Manager/Manager specializing in RE project modeling using PSSE, PSCAD, and Digsilent for our Noida office. This role involves full project lifecycle management, from design and engineering to testing and commissioning, with a focus on renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in electrical modeling and control systems for RE projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage complete Project Life Cycle for RE projects, including input analysis, design, engineering, model development, report generation, testing, FAT, and commissioning.
- Develop models and simulations using PSCAD, PSSE, and Digsilent Power Factory.
- Perform process testing and tuning of Solar/BESS/Hybrid plants PPC controls.
- Collect and review project inputs from customers and sites.
- Conduct feasibility studies for customer connections.
- Develop Generic and User-defined models for PSS/E, Digsilent, and PSCAD PPC models.
- Generate GRID compliance study reports and User manual reports for RMS and EMT studies.
- Lead Ovation controls PPC design and testing for greenfield and retrofit projects.
- Guide teams in implementing controls, performing tie-back simulation testing, and modifying control PPC Logics/SCADA.
- Prepare and guide teams on IO lists, Datasets, and DBIDs.
- Distribute engineering work to system integrators and participate in project meetings.
- Engage in customer demos, FATs, SATs, and commissioning activities.
- Work closely with the Ovation Green product team on MATLAB, PPC, and JavaScript.
- Commission and test Solar/BESS/Wind/Hybrid plants with Grid authorities for commercial operation and model approval.
- Travel to project sites for assignments, testing, and tuning of electrical control functions.
- Perform detailed modeling of power components and controllers for RTDS HIL testing.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Power Engineering, EEE).
- Eight (8) to Twelve (12) years of experience in Design and engineering of PSCAD, PSSE, Power factory (Digsilent) Electrical Modelling of PPC/MPPC/EMS.
- Ability to design and test PPC/MPPC controls for RE projects.
- Excellent language and communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Ability to travel for 20 to 30% as per job requirements.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to queries from managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to interface with vendors & sub-contractors.
- Good understanding of safety tools and gears, and safety guidelines for working at site.
Desired Qualifications
- Good knowledge of Grid Compliance Guidelines for North America, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Asia.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment like switchboards, generators, turbines, AVRs, motors, transformers, capacitors, CTs, VTs, feeders, meters, relays.
- Knowledge in Fortran/C programming, MATLAB, SQL.
- Experience executing projects independently and performing testing with Grid Authority.
