Director, CIS Performance Excellence

A day in the Life:

  • Develops and maintains CIS’s global location strategy, CoE standards, and shapes various best practices that can be adopted by all Global IT
  • Leads CIS’s India organization of 120+ technical staff responsible for supporting various CIS functions
  • Drives the proliferation of CIS culture by mentoring, coaching and developing people managers and individual contributors, cultivating cross-functional and cross-cultural relationships, and recruiting and developing a diverse set of individuals.
  • Represent CIS as an active participant on the Bangalore COE Leadership Team, ensuring CIS is positioned as One Team and all colleagues feel engaged and supported.
  • Partner closely with India HR and Talent Acquisition teams to reduce barriers to identify, recruit and retain top talent.
  • Drive CIS’ global Center of Excellence (COE) strategy to ensure consistency in culture and representation across all CIS Hubs.
  • Define and implement the global strategy for Practical Process Improvement (PPI) to increase CIS’ operational productivity and reinforce emphasis on automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Asia Pacific region leaders as part of the CIS Service Delivery program to capture customer feedback, improve financial visibility and align on critical priorities

  • Transparency in services, SLAs, big wins, and opportunities for improvement
  • Active CIS representation within Bangalore COE Leadership Team
  • Close alignment with global and local teams to drive alignment of core business processes, automation opportunities and cultural emphasis
  • Regular communication to IT functions supporting their India-based operations, global functional leaders, Bangalore COE Leadership Team and CIS Senior Leadership team
  • Full representation for Asia Pacific region as part of CIS Service Delivery program
Education

Degree in computer science, systems engineering or related field. Equivalent work experience is accepted

Experience
  • Experience building consensus and alignment across a global company, including with senior leadership, peers, your team and matrix management.
  • Knowledge in recruiting, hiring and retaining talent in India.
  • Well respected by peers, subordinates and leadership.
  • Outstanding intercultural awareness of the challenges associated with international business and the ability to champion positive intercultural relationships
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience leading people in sophisticated environments.
  • Highly motivated with a high level of initiative and collaborative and willing outlook.
  • Ability to communicate and lead in a matrix organization remotely.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strategic problem solver; ability to communicate the vison and structure of the program in alignment regional cultural principles.
  • Self-starter; organized; detail-oriented; motivated to set personal and program goals and proactively supervise performance against goals and initiatives.
  • Strong project and relationship leadership skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences across the business.
