Qualcomm seeks a Director of Business Development for Strategic Accounts in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on developing cross-business-unit opportunities in on-device AI and mobile computing, fostering partnerships, and driving next-generation experiences for Snapdragon-powered devices. Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic account plan, including engagement strategy, executive engagement, opportunity pipeline, and commercial objectives.
  • Drive AI-first workstreams for Snapdragon-based smartphones, PCs, XR devices, and other Personal AI form factors.
  • Coordinate cross-BU engagement across Mobile, Compute, IoT, Automotive, Cloud/Data Center, and Software units.
  • Shape joint technical roadmaps by translating customer requirements into Qualcomm platform requirements.
  • Build executive relationships with customer leadership and coordinate Qualcomm executive sponsorship.
  • Develop commercial partnership models, including business case development and deal structuring.
  • Enable ecosystem leverage by aligning AI momentum with Qualcomm's OEM, operator, enterprise, cloud, and developer relationships.
  • Monitor AI market dynamics, including frontier models, enterprise AI adoption, and competitor partnerships.
  • Drive disciplined execution through account operating rhythm, opportunity reviews, and stakeholder updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Sales, Business Development or related work experience.
  • OR Associate's degree and 10+ years of Sales, Business Development or related work experience.
  • OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of Sales, Business Development or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years of work experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, product strategy, corporate development, sales, or ecosystem development in the technology industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex strategic accounts or partnerships with senior executive stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of mobile devices, semiconductor platforms, AI software ecosystems, and OEM business models.
  • Working knowledge of generative AI, large language models, AI agents, cloud-to-edge inference, and enterprise AI adoption patterns.
  • Proven ability to support and drive cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, sales, marketing, legal, finance, and executive teams.
  • Experience developing business cases, partnership proposals, deal structures, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity, create structure, and drive outcomes across organizations without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience working with AI model providers, cloud platforms, mobile OEMs, operating system providers, or developer ecosystem partners.
  • Familiarity with Snapdragon platforms, mobile SoCs, NPUs, AI software stacks, and model optimization techniques.
  • Experience structuring partnerships involving joint technology development, co-marketing, platform enablement, or customer co-selling.
  • Strong network across AI, mobile, cloud, or consumer device ecosystems.
