In short

We are hiring an experienced Rollomatic CNC Set-Up Operator for our 3rd shift (8 PM - 6 AM, M-Th) in Reynoldsville, PA. This full-time role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining Rollomatic grinding machines to produce precision round cutting tools. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience with carbide tool grinding, and proficiency in reading blueprints and using measurement tools.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Rollomatic CNC grinders for round tool production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, tool drawings, and engineering specifications.
  • Load programs, make offsets, and perform minor edits to ensure tool geometry accuracy.
  • Perform first-piece inspection and in-process checks using measuring equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and tool quality, making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and collaborate with maintenance/engineering.
  • Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Math skills using metrics, decimals, and fractions.
  • Proficiency using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, optical equipment).
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience setting up and operating Rollomatic CNC grinding machines.
  • Strong understanding of round tool geometry (end mills, drills, step tools).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with Fanuc or NUM control interfaces.
  • Background in manufacturing carbide tools.
  • Basic understanding of G-code.
  • Previous experience in a high-mix, low-volume tool grinding environment.

  • Experience setting up and operating Rollomatic CNC grinding machines is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of round tool geometry is preferred.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T is preferred.
  • Proficiency using precision measurement tools is preferred.
