Responsibilities
- Analyze business decisions and troubleshoot issues.
- Communicate findings effectively across different teams.
- Raise the technical bar of the globally distributed analytics team.
- Provide data wrangling expertise and deep understanding of data fundamentals.
- Work with and synthesize very large datasets.
- Utilize multiple externally and internally developed data platforms.
- Organize complex investigations, demonstrate self-discipline, and manage time appropriately.
- Communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories.
- Automate manual data processes, including data quality and validation.
- Create reports using reporting tools like QuickSight or Tableau.
- Translate ambiguous work-streams into tangible requirements and success metrics.
- Build metrics and metrics decks.
- Earn trust among stakeholders with differing roles, responsibilities, geographical locations, and cultures.
Requirements
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience.
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
- Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
- Experience working with databases and SQL in a business environment (redshift, PostgreSQL, oracle, Mysql).
- Familiarity with optimization, planning and logistics concepts.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting networks.
- Knowledge of at least one data visualization product (Tableau, Looker, Amazon QuickSight, etc.).
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, influencing strategy, and achieving goals by working across the organization.
- Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience applying quantitative analysis to solve business problems and making data-driven business decisions.
- Deep professional experience expertise with SQL, DMBS (redshift, PostgreSQL, oracle, mssql).
- Demonstrable work experience with automating processes using a scripting language (JavaScript, Python), with proven business impact.
