Role Summary & Role Description

Who we are looking for.

A key member of AWS Federated team under our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE); you will be responsible to drive design and implementation of best-in-class AWS infrastructure to support State Street’s security, governance, and workload requirements. We are looking for an engineering focused and experienced AWS Leader with strong grounding on AWS cloud concepts, principles, Infrastructure as Code/Terraform/CloudFormation and is able design and implement robust and automated solutions. This leader is also expected to lead a team of 10+ talented Senior and Junior Engineers.

What you will be responsible for

As an AWS Federated Platform Engineering - India Lead you will

• Design & Architect robust, scalable and secure technical solutions on the AWS Cloud.
• Work with other platform architects to define components responsibilities, plan components evolution, and ensure components will meet platform needs.
• Will be responsible for service enablement on AWS based on use case requirements.
• Coach & assist AWS Engineers to automate the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations.
• Taking delivery responsibilities of the India team.
• Ensure new hires – experienced or interns are trained, coached and able to deliver AWS Services within quick time frame.
• Complete team management responsibility along with strong technical knowledge.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• 18 years of IT experience in a hands-on role with 8 - 10 years of experience designing and supporting AWS environments.
• 8+ year of team management skills, performance management. Excellent Leadership, Presentation, Communication skills.
• Deep understanding of AWS IAAS, PAAS and SAAS solutions along with cloud native design patterns and DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code).
• Appropriate certifications are strongly preferred, demonstrating an understanding of core infrastructure concepts as well as data and/or DevOps principles.
• Strong leadership skills, extremely good communication skills, presentation skills, performance management of the team.

Work Schedule

Hybrid Working (3 days at office is a must)
