Canada Reporting and Analytics is the hub for Deloitte Talent Canada Data, helping the Canada offices with talent data and analytical needs. The data we provide, and our consultative services are used by different groups of the firm to drive people strategy in headcount forecast, retention, hiring, compensation, learning, and resource management.

The team is focused on developing business-aligned solutions that provide an enhanced employee experience through innovative solutions that are efficient and effective. Our goal is to deliver high-quality service through world-class technology solutions, strategic reporting, data visualization, and analytics.

Work you’ll do

As an Associate Analyst— Canada reporting & analytics team, you will interact with business stakeholders to assess the requirements and provide reports. Not only will you work independently, but you’ll also collaborate with a diverse group of talent professionals and team members. you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to uncover insights and support decision-making processes. This would also require you to be involved in all stages of reporting (extraction, data formatting, execution, and delivery). You’ll use our tools, technology, and your other responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and delivering reports accordingly.
  • Collecting data from various sources, like PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, Cognos, ServiceNow and applying statistical techniques and data mining methods to analyze large datasets.
  • Produce and Deliver Scheduled & Adhoc reports under tight deadlines.
  • Verifying the accuracy and integrity of data through rigorous testing and validation procedures.
  • Review data to detect any data integrity issues (i.e., identify illogical results, etc.)
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with the Canadian onshore team.
  • Adhere to SLA and Quality standards in delivering scheduled and Adhoc reports to clients.
  • Research and analyze the existing reports to build process efficiency through Standardization/Automation
  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions to share process / reporting knowledge with the team
  • Always adhere to prepare/update SOP documents of assigned reports
  • Serve as a backup resource for standard/adhoc reports published by the team.

Qualifications

·       A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent

·       0-1 year of applied experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting (preferably with HR data)

·       Advanced MS-Excel skills (strong understanding of excel formulas and functions) is highly desirable for this role.

·       Having proficiency in data management and analysis tools such as VBA/Macro, Excel Power Query, Cognos, SuccessFactors, and Peoplesoft will be an added advantage.

·       Ability to interact with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, assess complexity and determine timelines.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·       Attention to detail to ensure high quality deliverables.

·       Advanced Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, MS Teams)
