Edwards is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician to support production flow in their new Buffalo, NY facility. Responsibilities include assembling and testing modules, cables, and dry pumps according to engineered drawings and procedures, while maintaining quality and efficiency. A high school diploma or equivalent and experience with mechanical assembly, hand tools, and reading drawings are required.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test modules, cables, and dry pumps in line with the daily production plan, focusing on quality and output targets.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Follow assembly and test instructions and procedures to meet output quality requirements.
- Support the training of team members and collaborate to drive improvement and efficiency.
- Maintain a good working relationship with department colleagues and supporting departments.
- Communicate and seek guidance where there are errors or difficulty in build.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the assembly meets quality standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent / associated experience.
- Knowledge and experience of the principles of mechanical component constructions and assembly and test.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
- Experience with hand tools and small power tools, including pneumatic.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

- Knowledge and experience of the principles of mechanical component constructions and assembly and test. Dependent on assigned area.
- Fine motor skills and endurance.
- Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls continually or almost continually (85% of the time), with manual and finger dexterity for grasping, manipulating, or assembling small objects; arm-hand steadiness for stability.
- Ability to stand or remain in an upright stationary position continually or almost continually (41% of the time), with occasional traversing.
- Ability to move, transport, or position materials, involving exertion up to 10 pounds occasionally or negligible amounts frequently; trunk strength for repeated support.
- Ability to bend or twist the body continually or almost continually (26% of the time), requiring flexibility.
- Ability to perform repetitive actions continually or almost continually (48% of the time), often involving prolonged sitting or standing with repetitive arm/leg use.
- Ability to work in environments exposed to noise, contaminants, or distractions daily (41-52% of the time).
- Willingness to wear protective equipment (e.g., gloves, safety shoes) every day (91% of the time).
