Responsibilities
- Develop clear, accurate DCS technical proposals based on customer needs, requirements, and specifications.
- Work effectively with the Regional/Project Engineering teams to develop complete solutions utilizing Emerson products and services.
- Coordinate and participate in customer meetings to clearly define scope, promote Emerson’s capabilities and expertise, and present offered solutions.
- Collaborate with other Emerson departments to drive solutions and provide support.
- Review customer orders, determine if the scope accurately reflects the offers, and prepare for order entry.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electronic/Electrical/Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Experience with control systems such as DCS or PLC.
- Knowledge and experience with application and process automation systems, and Distributed Control Systems.
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Ovation™ or other DCS.
- Knowledge in proposal development, cost estimating, or project engineering.
- Proven history of working across a variety of groups in a large organization.
- Demonstrate high energy and drive in achieving the desired results.
- Demonstrate the need to know the latest on new technologies and make learning a priority.
