Job overview and responsibilities

The Analyst – Communications Performance – will support and help maintain the effective execution, delivery and measurement of communication programs through a variety of channels (i.e. intranet, email, employee information display screens etc.) and content types (i.e. written, video, etc.). This analyst will have a foundational understanding of big data, data models and data analysis approaches, to analyze our employee communication engagement data to identify trends, patterns and correlations. They will also work closely with the Sr. Manager to make data driven recommendations – turning the data into actionable insights – and then support visualizing that data into a digestible story for internal business partners.

  • Performance & Measurement
    • Query, extract & analyze a variety of data sets for employee communications campaigns 
    • Compile, monitor and maintain reports for campaign performance results
    • Leverage data analysis approaches to identify baselines, trends/patterns & correlations
    • Derive actionable insights from data analysis and make recommendations for optimizations
    • Support email and web channels through an understanding of their metrics and influencing factors of performance 
  • Planning, process & tools
    • Support data production standards, processes and workflows keeping efficiency at the forefront
    • Implement new processes for accurate data capture across email and web 
    • Support break/fix requests for reports that our team has created but others use
  • Execution & Delivery
    • Support data selection, processing and implementation

    • Develop an understanding of our many employee communication strategies, tactics and channels

      Qualifications

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 2-3+ years of related experience in employee communications, marketing or technology 
  • Experience in data analysis, different approaches, how to identify patterns and trends – using a variety of tools (excel, powerBI, foundry [via SQL, R, python], SQL server, or similar) 
  • Experience with data and a foundational understanding of databases, data models and data relationships
  • Knowledge of monitoring marketing or employee communications campaigns and analyzing performance results
  • Ability to multi-task and balance tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Expert in excel – pivot tables and charts
  • Working knowledge of SQL 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Marketing or Communications
  • Experience in email metrics and email tools (ex. Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar)
  • Experience in web behavior metrics and tools (ex. Google Analytics or similar)
  • Experience with visualizing data and using data visualization tools (ex. LookerStudio, Power BI, or similar)
  • Knowledge of A/B and multi-variate testing processes and structure
  • Creative problem solver
  • Knowledge of our United’s PeopleSoft data set
